For the first time the Kent London Athletics Network entered Boys’ and Girls’ teams in the Under 13’s Sportshall Athletics UK Championships. For over four hours the teams battled against London’s finest under 13 athletes in the London Regional Final that took place on Sunday 10 February 2013 at the Crystal Palace National Indoor Sports Centre.
KLAN Under 11’s are third best Sportshall Athletics team in London!!

27 talented and highly committed Under 11 year old athletes represented the Kent London Athletics Network (KLAN) in this year’s Fun in Athletics (London Region) Festival on Saturday 12 January 2013 at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.
The Network has received the following notification on behalf of the London Regional Council:
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Kent London Athletics Network on winning the England Athletics London Region Athletics Network of the Year Award for 2012.
Kent London Athletics Network held a free Child Protection Awareness Workshop at Blackheath & Bromley Harriers AC’s headquarters on Friday 20th April attended by 23 people representing four local clubs: Bexley AC, Blackheath & Bromley Harriers AC, Cambridge Harriers and Croydon Harriers. All of the people who attended have key roles working with young people within their own clubs as coaches, team managers, Child Protection/Welfare officers, track managers, technical officials or policy makers.
More than 50 primary school children took part in two Sportshall Athletics competitions during March at the new indoor sports facility at Harris Academy, Beckenham organised by the Kent London Athletics Network.
Snow and icy conditions are no deterrent for cross country youngsters who turned out for the Bees Academy Open Races at Norman Park.
134 youngsters aged 7 - 13 participated in three different age group races in the snow over 1,500m, 2,000m and 2,500m at Norman Park, Bromley on Saturday 11 February. It was not just local athletes who turned up for the races as there were a number children and parents willing to travel long distances from all over Kent and South London to find high quality competition.
