Young Games Makers needed for London 2012

LONDON 2012 is looking for young athletes to help carry kit boxes to the startline for competitors at next year's Olympic Games.

The volunteers are needed for the Olympics, Paralympics and also test events and the role includes leading an athlete into the arena, standing behind them in their lane as they prepare for competition and then taking the kit box to the post-event area.

They are some of the 2000 "Young Games Makers" roles available for teenagers who want to be part of the 2012 experience - and there are many other jobs too such as delivering results around the Olympic Stadium. In addition to these Young Games Makers positions, London 2012 will use around 70,000 adult Games Makers next year.
